Sinéad O’Hart is an Irish author and enthusiastic reader of books for children, living in a book-filled house in the middle of Ireland.
She has written six novels for readers aged 8+, including The Eye of the North, Skyborn, The Star-Spun Web, The Time Tider, The Silver Road and Sword of the Sun.
She is also the author of the Lola and Larch series for younger readers, as well as Ellora McGee, Trainee Banshee, a new series for readers aged 5+ published by Gill Books.
Since 2022, Sinéad has co-hosted the Storyshaped podcast with fellow author Susan Cahill, exploring the stories that shape writers and readers.
With a PhD in Old and Middle English Language and Literature, she brings a deep love of history, language, folklore and imagination to her writing.
