Daragh Coady

Daragh Coady is an Irish poet and spoken word performer whose work combines lyrical intensity, sharp observation and a strong sense of live performance.
He began writing in his mid-teens, but only started performing publicly around 2022 after a chance meeting with legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke, who encouraged him to take to the stage.
Since then, Daragh has built a growing reputation through readings and performances in Ireland and abroad, including appearances at Culture Rapide in Paris, shows in Berlin, The Circle Sessions in Dublin and various literary festivals.
His first major hometown show took place at Athena Fine Art Gallery in Longford in April 2024. His published work includes Temperance and his debut poetry collection, Menageries, released in early 2025.
Poems such as Anonymous to History, Chelsea’s Out Tonight and Adrenaline show a writer interested in memory, identity, history and the restless energy of contemporary life.
