Inklings is a vibrant and welcoming creative writing group based in Mullingar, County Westmeath. Formed in September 2016, the group brings together writers of all abilities, styles and genres who share a passion for the written word. Meeting twice weekly, on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings at the Annebrook House Hotel, Inklings offers a supportive space for creativity, encouragement, feedback and growth.
Brian McLoughlin continues to play a key role as facilitator and contact person, while different members regularly contribute to the group’s weekly column in the Westmeath Examiner. Several members have published books, with many others working on novels, poetry collections, memoirs, short stories and other creative projects.
Friendly, collaborative and inclusive, Inklings has become an important part of Mullingar’s literary community, helping writers develop confidence, share their work and connect with others. New members are always welcome, whether experienced or just starting out.
