Chele Crawley is an emerging Irish author based in the midlands, where she works as a primary school teacher and shares her love of reading and writing with her students.
With a background in journalism and print media, Chele brings a strong instinct for story, character and pace to her fiction.
Her debut novel, Lady Dixon’s Niece, is the first instalment in her Regency-era romantic historical fiction series, Of Social Standing.
Set in England in 1812, the novel follows Annaliese Schmidt as she leaves her country life behind in pursuit of social mobility, only to discover that high society carries its own dangers, desires and moral compromises.
Inspired by the appeal of Regency romance, from Jane Austen to Bridgerton, Chele writes with warmth, wit and a flair for drama.
She is currently continuing work on the Of Social Standing series.
