About this Workshop...
Based on Halyna Budilova’s A Very Very Angry Book, this playful and thoughtful workshop helps children explore the feeling of anger in a safe, creative, and supportive environment. Through storytelling, mask-making, group activities, and gentle discussion, children will learn that anger is a normal emotion — something we all feel from time to time — but that there are positive ways to express it, understand it, and find our way back to calm.
The workshop begins with a story video of A Very Very Angry Book, narrated by Halyna herself, inviting children into a colourful and relatable world of big feelings. They will then take part in a hands-on creative activity, Make Your Angry Mask, where they can use art and imagination to give shape to their emotions. As a group, children will also help Create a Calm Corner, exploring what makes them feel safe, peaceful, and supported when emotions become overwhelming.
With a focus on emotional literacy, empathy, creativity, and community building, this workshop encourages children to recognise their feelings, talk about them, and discover calming tools they can use in everyday life. The core message is simple and reassuring: it’s okay to feel angry — but we can always find calm again.
