Louise Ryan

Seeds of Life - Minding your Mental Health

Profile

Louise Ryan is a Dublin-born writer, poet and workshop facilitator now living in Westmeath.

A mum of two, she is a member of Inklings Writers Group, whose encouragement helped rekindle her passion for writing.

Louise writes poetry, some of which has been published in the Westmeath Examiner, and has also facilitated creative writing workshops. Returning to education as an adult, she earned a BA in Tourism and Management and an Honours Diploma in Further Education Teaching.

Drawing on her own lived experience of bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression, Louise has written a wellness guide designed to offer hope, encouragement and practical tools to others.
Blending personal reflection with poetry, the book explores gratitude, visualisation, affirmations, self-belief, self-love and positive thinking.

Through her writing, Louise hopes to help readers find their own silver lining and move towards healing, confidence and inner peace.

At the Festival

Join Louise Ryan for an honest and uplifting interview event exploring her book Seeds of Life & New Beginnings.

Part wellness guide, part personal testimony, the book shares the tools, reflections and poems that supported Louise through her mental health journey, including her experience of bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression.

In conversation, Louise will discuss recovery, self-belief, gratitude, visualisation, affirmations and the importance of hope, even during life’s darkest moments.

This event offers a compassionate space to reflect on healing, resilience and personal growth, while celebrating writing as a source of strength, connection and new beginnings.
