Kathleen Crinion is an Irish author, award-winning singer-songwriter and psychotherapist based in Trim, County Meath.
Best known for her creative work across music, writing and therapy, she brings a compassionate and reflective voice to her storytelling.
Her book Her Name Was Julia: Grave Number 339 is a deeply personal work of memoir, Irish history and family investigation, uncovering the story of her great-great-grandmother Julia, who was committed to an Irish asylum in 1897 while her children were sent to the workhouse.
What began as a family mystery became a long search for truth, remembrance and restoration.
Drawing on archives, letters and inherited memory, Kathleen gives voice to a woman almost erased by history.
Through her writing and therapeutic work, she explores healing, identity, silence and resilience, inviting readers to reflect on how stories from the past continue to shape families today.
