Lorraine Murphy Author Biography
Author of psychological thrillers Into the Woods, Be Careful what you Wish for and He Loves Me Not along with multiple award-winning flash fiction tales, Lorraine is a reporter with The Westmeath Topic, an award-winning Toastmaster and teaches creative writing.
The Dubliner moved to Mullingar over two decades ago; the place where she sets most of her work and where she swims, runs, dances, raised her family and now calls home.

Join us for an insightful and lively conversation with Lorraine Murphy, author of psychological thrillers Into the Woods, Be Careful What You Wish For, and He Loves Me Not. A journalist with The Westmeath Topic, award-winning Toastmaster, and creative writing tutor, Lorraine has called Mullingar home for over twenty years—setting much of her gripping fiction there.
She’ll be interviewed by Chele Crawley, an emerging historical fiction writer, journalist, teacher, and fellow Inklings member, ahead of the release of her own debut novel Lady Dixon’s Niece. A must for fans of great storytelling and local talent.
