Dolores Keaveney

Dolores Keaveney is a celebrated author and illustrator of children’s picture books based in Mullingar. With over 20 independently published titles and one traditionally published work, her books have enjoyed widespread success. Her storytelling has reached even wider audiences, with one title translated by Foras na Gaeilge and two adapted into Story Trails.

For the past 15 years, Dolores has toured schools and libraries across Ireland, inspiring young readers with her vibrant illustrations and heartfelt stories. She has featured twice on RTÉ Nationwide and in numerous local and national publications. Discover more at doloreskeaveney.com.

At the Festival

Join author and illustrator Dolores Keaveney for a special children and parents event at Mullingar Library. Dolores will read a selection of her beloved books, including her latest release, and lead a fun colouring doodle session for children.

Colm from the library will then officially launch her new book, followed by an open and engaging conversation with Dolores and attending parents. A warm, creative event celebrating storytelling, art, and community – perfect for families and young readers.

Admission is free. Early arrival is recommended to avoid disappointment.
