Join beloved Mullingar-based children’s author and illustrator, Dolores Keaveney, for a joyful morning of storytelling and creativity at Mullingar Library. With over 20 vibrant picture books to her name, including recent titles Huwie Has a Visitor and The Lions, the Bees and the Bogs, Dolores brings her colourful world of imagination and nature to life for young readers.
Her work is inspired by her garden, her grandchildren, and especially her love for bees—an affection that sparked her self-publishing journey with her first book If I Were a Bee in 2009. A passionate advocate for creativity and expression, Dolores regularly hosts workshops in schools and libraries across Ireland, earning glowing testimonials for her engaging, interactive sessions.
